Dr Nicolas Hart PhD AES CSCS ESSAM is the Deputy Lead of the Cancer Survivorship Program, and Senior Research Fellow at the Cancer and Palliative Care Outcomes Centre of Queensland University of Technology. Prior to this appointment, he was a postdoctoral fellow of Cancer Council Western Australia investigating the role of exercise medicine on disease biology, progression-free and overall survival of people with advanced prostate or breast cancer, including the ongoing coordination and site investigation of a global and multi-centre Phase III RCT (INTERVAL-GAP4) valued at >$10 million AUD. His clinical expertise has been recognised through his involvement in an international roundtable developing clinical guidelines to safely deliver exercise to people with bone metastases worldwide; is sole Australian author on an international prostate cancer survivorship consensus statement (SuRECaP); and lead author on the Rehabilitation in Supportive and Palliative Care book chapter of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO)’s Handbook of Supportive and Palliative Care for release in 2021. He is sits on three journal editorial boards, including as Senior Editor of BMC Cancer.
